In 1977 the archaeologist Marino Sanchez M. also excavated in one of the service zones of the royal mausoleum complex and in one of the chambers of the temple, where he found a funerary context. In 1978, only to obtain carbon 14 samples for chronological purposes, Wilfredo Yepez worked in the collcas of the east, behind the group of three houses.

Between 1980 and 1981 the Cuzco archaeologist Julinho Zapata performed intensive excavations in various buildings in the area at the entrance to the sanctuary with very gratifying results about the function of the chambers and the spaces. Some years later, between 1987 and 1989, Fidel Ramos Condori returned to excavate the collcas in the east and also made valuable finds in the zone of the Torreon. Later on works of maintenance and conservation were performed.
